AJ Tucker is a coach and instructor who is passionate about
self-defense. As a child, Aj witnessed his mother in a dangerously abusive relationship until she escaped from Virginia to Texas.
During his tenure in the military, Aj noticed how women were treated in comparison to men.
In 2005, AJ went into the fitness industry, where 90% of his clients were women. At the request of his clients, AJ started teaching self defense locally after getting the green light from his martial arts instructor and mentor. He started assisting for Athena’s Strategies in 2007. AJ’s martial arts background is in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, where he earned his Black Belt in 2015.
AJ teaches real world tactics that do not require strength or coordination.
